Bukmak – Everyone. All the people. Coming together.

An expression of unity and a celebration of the diversity of North-East Arnhem Land.

As part of 47 Easey Street’s contribution to Melbourne Design Week 2026, Agency is pleased to continue its partnership with the Yothu Yindi Foundation (YYF), to offer a selection of coveted works from Buku-Larrnggay Mulka Art Centre, located in Yirrkala, a remote indigenous community, situated in North-East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.

Designed for street viewing, the exhibition celebrates a diverse array of mediums, including Larrakitj (memorial poles), Bathi (baskets) , Gay’wu (string bags), Ŋanmarra (Woven Mat), and earth pigment on paper works by celebrated artists Noŋgirrŋa Marawili (dec). and Mrs D. Yunupiŋu.

This venue activation serves to amplify and promote these works ahead of the forthcoming fundraising auction. This milestone event will be held at Agency Projects, and will raise funds for YYF’s Garma Institute, a realisation of the long-held dream by the Yothu Yindi Foundation for a higher education facility based on country for Yolŋu, servicing the entire East Arnhem region.
