To celebrate NAIDOC week each year, Agency partners with Composite to screen short films, animations and moving image by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artists from across the country.

In 2023, animations from senior artists from Tangentyere Artists screened at Composite in Collingwood Yards throughout NAIDOC Week. Featured artists included Doris Thomas, Grace Kemarre Robina, Nyinguta Nora Abbott and Betty Nungarrayi Conway. Narrated by the artists themselves, and produced by Tangentyere Artists, these animations bring their stories to life, and are a delightful and poignant reminder of the wealth of stories, collective memory and experiences that our Elders both hold, and generously pass on.

In 2022, Yolŋu filmmaker Ishmael Marika’s short film Galka was screened alongside works by Bundjulung and Ngapuhi woman Amrita Hepi, Wiradjuri artist Jazz Money and Yolŋu artist Patrina Munuŋggurr.
