Agency is pleased to announce our final exhibition for the year, Ritharrŋu Manabamidi: Together, a collaborative showcase celebrating the contemporary reimagining of found objects in South East Arnhem Land. Creating beauty from discarded materials and chosen surfaces, artists from Numbulwar Numburindi Arts and Ngukurr Arts have breathed new life into objects and forms through vibrant colour, pattern and texture.

Reflecting the close familial and geographical ties between the two communities of Numbulwar and Ngukurr, Ritharrŋu Manabamidi: Together spotlights the vibrancy of artistic practice across both Art Centres. The women of Numbulwar have transformed window louvres, tin lids, metal sheeting and crushed cans into striking painted forms, while the men at Ngukurr Arts continue their distinctive rarrk style, painting Miny’tji which refers to the painted body markings used in ceremony. 

We invite you to join us on the evening of Friday 14 November to celebrate Ritharrŋu Manabamidi: Together, the artists from Numulwar and Ngukurr, and a year of creativity in our new Wukuṉ Waṉambi Project Space.
